Big Sur 11.7.3 Safari favourites web page “icons” got grey out.

Seems just when Big Sur was operating smoothly on my Intel Mac Mini - this BS! Apple becomes more like Windows with every passing year since Steve Job's death.

Deleting the bookmarks, and adding new ones did not help, same issue with greyed out icons. I can't believe they did not find this in testing. Pretty embarrassing for apple really.

Monday Feb. 13 Apple issued a Safari update. IT DID NOTHING TO FIX THE PROBLEM> HEY APPLE< HOW ABOUT HIRING SOME TECHS THAT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING.

I also just dowloaded today's Safari update hoping they had fixed the icons. Nope, not a thing. Apple where are you..........

Under Chrome is a link to import bookmarks. I don't know if it can be done with Safari.

I was able to do it seamlessly!

Glad it fixed it for you, but did not fix mine Safari 16.3 (16614.4.6.11.6 16614. Using 2020 MacBook Air with Big Sur 11.7.3. Will check out installing Big Sur 11.7.4 as suggested below.

My icons are back as well.

There are a lot of us running 10 year old apple laptops that just keep chugging on.

I only did the safari update today. I did not do the Mac update. All my icons are now back to how they were looking before. Yay!

Two separate updates and all the Apps are restored. And if the powers to be at apple read theses posts, thank you.
