Big Sur 11.7.3 Safari favourites web page “icons” got grey out.

Well, I was reading an online newspaper this afternoon and a notification box told me I had updates to install so I did. I was not looking for updates until I read your response. Then I found the Safari 16.3.1 update and installed it. I am now using Big Sur 11.7.4, so that was probably installed this afternoon (reference previous post). Is it odd that installation didn't update both the system and Safari at the same time?

Thanks for your post. It cleared up for me whether the loss of icon definition in Safari was a problem with that app or the system.

I also have the same problem that a few of my safari icons have greyed out / white and cannot be seen?

do i have to reload al these icons or is there an update on the system?

Same here. I did not try any of the stuff everyone else has tried as I figure it will definitely need a fix from apple. So I will wait until then. Hopefully a fix gets released soon.

Maybe that's why they keep pushing to install Ventura, no thanks. I want Big Sur back the way it was. Is there a way to just un-install the last update?
