Activation Lock MacBook Pro 2020

Hello,

The following problem: I bought a 2nd hand MacBook Pro and the display cable was defective. Got it repaired. When I turned it on, I noticed that there was an iCloud lock. Tried to contact the previous owner. But with no success. After unsuccessful attempts, the iCloud was locked. At some point the previous owner contacted me and gave me his iCloud data and the answer to the first security question. I couldn't do anything with the iCloud data since it was already locked. The answer to the first security question was correct, but did not have the answer to the second question. Re-contacted the previous owner to no avail. Have also used the option to reset the password via the deposited mail, hoping the previous owner will delete the ID. But nothing.

What can be done? I have everything except for the second security question.

Greetings from Germany

Request a refund, or recycle it.

Only the seller can resolve this, and only the seller can recover access to their Apple ID (if this is even their Apple ID), and only the seller can provide an original purchase receipt with serial number. Without the full cooperation of the seller, this Mac will be useless to you.

This looks like one of the usual lost or stolen device sales scams, to be blunt.

Nothing that Macbook Pro is useless, previous owner need to remove the activation lock.

if you get a hold of the seller again, return the device and get your money back.
