Apple podcast app taking too much storage

The podcast app is taking 29 GB of storage. I deleted the app and yet the documents and data did not go away. I reinstalled it, and unfollowed all of the shows I had and I don’t see any downloaded episodes. I’ve tried deleting and reinstalling multiple times. Yet in the storage management part of the phone, the app is still taking 29 GB. Help?!

In Settings → General → iPhone Storage → Podcasts you can:

Offload app which will "free up storage used by the app but keep its documents and data."
Delete app which will "delete the app and all related data from your iPhone"
Under recommendations you can enable the removal of older downloads which will "keep only the 5 latest automatically downloaded episodes per show"
Additionally you should be able to see all podcast shows which are downloaded on your device and remove them individually by show or remove all podcast episodes from your device
