Screenshots stopped appearing on my desktop. My computer currently uses Monterey, Version 12.6.3. Anyone know how to fix this?

did you use these steps? (as suggested by dialabrain)
you can use the keyboard shortcut "shift-command-5" to bring up the recording controls. then choose "options".
and then, in those options, check the "save to" location to see where the recording went.

When you press command shift 5 then Options you should see this list…
Press commaand shift 5. Make sure Desktop is still set in Options.
How do I check that the desktop is still set in Options? Just used your method of screen shot, and nothing appeared on my desktop.
