I just discovered that sleep mode on the new Mac Mini M2 no longer displays a dimming / brightening power light so now the monitor powering down is the only indicator that the Mini is actually in sleep mode. Curious if anyone else is disappointed about this change.

The 2014 Mac mini was the last model to have a pulsing sleep indicator light. The 2018, 2020 and 2023 models all stay solid in computer sleep mode.

Thanks very much. I just replaced my early 2012 mini with the M2 and wasn't aware of this development. Seems desktops are inevitably becoming laptops.
