Groups Not Exporting In Contacts

Any contacts that are synced or grouped with any other account associated with previous device may not have exported properly. For instance if you're syncing any contacts with Google, those would not be a part of your iCloud export. Additionally, do you plan on using the same iCloud account on the new Mac? If so, you can just sign into the account rather than exporting them manually. Here's how: Set up iCloud for Contacts on all your devices - Apple Support

Congrats on getting your new Mac! We'd like to help by learning more about what's happening, along with ruling out some possible causes:

1. Do you have iCloud Contacts enabled in your Mac settings, and if you do, have you checked on the iCloud website to see if the groups you made in Contacts appear there? Here's the link just in case you needed it: iCloud
2. If you don't have iCloud Contacts enabled, what method did you use to get your contacts to your new Mac?
3. Sometimes unexpected behavior can be resolved with a restart. Check out the section ‘Restart your Mac' here: Shut down or restart your Mac
4. Since you have a compatible Mac model, the latest version is macOS 13.3.1. You can verify this by clicking on the Apple logo at the top left corner of the screen, then on ‘About This Mac’. In case you needed it, this link shows how to first back up, then Update macOS on Mac.
