CarPlay not working properly after iOS update?

Ever since the iOS 17.3 update, now my CarPlay has been rendered useless. I drive a 2019 Honda Fit Sport and use an iPhone 12. I have done all the troubleshooting- changed cable, had Honda factory reset the radio, rebooted the radio, rebooted the phone, update to iOS 17.4. It is extremely frustrating because I use CarPlay for navigation and music and so that i don’t break the laws regarding cell phones and driving!!! Fix it Apple!

This is March 2024 and it's been not working for weeks now. Have done everything possible and I think APPLE is responsible for all of it. We have done everything according to the manuals and online help. Please APPLE get this fixed ASAP.

SnickZ. You have posted generic solutions to Apple Carplay issues which the users of the forum already performed before posting. Our Carplay worked just fine until iOS 17.4 After installing iOS 17.4 or 17.4.1 the vehicles, which support carplay and worked just fine a few days ago, will no longer detect the vehicle in Apple Carplay. Synching with the device is not the problem. the current version of iOS with Apple carplay is the problem. I suspect the only thing which apple support can do to cure is help us roll back our iOS versions. This of course conflicts with the generic advice you posted above.

After the 17.4.1 update, Carplay won't show the normal music screen, and I get a message saying read the privacy information. Instead, I get a split screen with map and a small picture of album playing. How do I get back my old music screen?

My apple carplay stopped working all of sudden after updating verson on my toyotta corolla . i called support team but no solution. im very used to get gps on the screen and its effecting me a lot. just learned people are facing his issue but no fix yet. hope this issue will be resloved soon.

iPhone 15 - same issue.

on the Porsche Panamara it connect then gives the warning screen “ for your safety, limited view while driving”. So you MUST connect while the car is at full stop.

in the Aston Martin DB11 it doesn’t work at all

Updated to iOS 17.5.1 this morning. Apple CarPlay no longer works in my 2017 VW Alltrack. When I attach my phone to the lightning cord per usual, my car doesn't recognize the attached device. I don't have a VPN. It WILL play music via BT, but GPS is spotty. Naturally, I need Maps to function because I have surgery tomorrow out-of-town.

Ever since last update 17.1.1 my apple car play on iPhone 13 doesn’t work????

My iPhone 12 Pro CarPlay system no longer works in my car, no matter how hard I try the fixes sent to me. Is there a solution, as my car does not have the voice command option on the steering wheel?
