Use Malwarebytes Mobile Security:

Based on personal experience:

Malwarebytes Mobile Security

I use Malwarebytes on all of my devices, and I sure don’t get any junk calls, whatsoever. So, you should consider doing the same. Malwarebytes was developed by long time users of these forums.

Blocked calls will get to your phone, but will be immediately redirected to voicemail. Because calls can only be blocked at the network switch, and your phone does not have access to the switch.

Your carrier may have a blocking app.

I have just started to get call through on a blocked number immediately after installing latest iOS 16.4.1 a. So maybe that’s not a solution.

Previously blocked calls occasionally rang once and displayed then stopped. New number rings until it rolls to voicemail like a regular caller.

Secure yourself, and report others:

This seems to be what you need: Malwarebytes - Mobile Security. It’s found right in the App Store. It blocks so many junk calls and junk texts, and it allows you to report this on your own to the Developer.

I have certain harassing callers blocked and my phone is still ringing!!! I have the number programmed into my phone as well. I’ve tried unblocking then block again and still it isn’t working!! How do they keep getting through??? They are driving me nuts!! The calls aren’t even for me.

That’s absolutely not the truth!! The callers I’m getting that are blocked weren’t getting through now suddenly they are!! There’s absolutely no explanation for this!! I have bought apps they don’t keep them from getting through either!!
