Apple TV+ So Difficult To Watch On My Samsung TV

Hi. I can’t seem to watch the Apple TV app on my Samsung smart Tv. It constantly freezes and then goes to a “Video Unavailable” screen.


This isn’t a problem with the internet or Tv, I have no problem watching other apps like Netflix on it.


I can’t seem to be able to delete and reinstall the app, but I’ve tried to reset it with no luck.


I saw this was a question posted earlier in this community but couldn't find any answers that helped.


Does anyone else have this problem?

Same here. This has been going on over a week now, as well. The Apple TV+ app on my iPhone plays perfectly. Every other app on my Samsung smart TV plays perfectly. But Apple TV+ will not play on my Samsung smart TV for some reason. Has anyone found a fix for this?

  1. The Apple TV app is available on select Samsung smart TVs from 2018 or later. I believe it should be pre-installed on these models.
  2. The Apple TV+ app is available on Samsung TVs from 2017 or later that did not get the formerly mentioned Apple TV app. Users may need to download this from Samsung’s on-device Appstore/Smart Hub.

The only workaround solution is the reset the Samsung Smarthub and then re-sign in to Samsung TV account, Apple TV account, Prime etc... I have now managed it in 10 minutes minimum. It is not a permanent fix as the fault/bug will return in a few weeks.


It is nothing to do with bandwidth, bad streams, re-installing Apple TV app or Tiizen needing updates which are the only suggestions Samsung help can offer.

That's my problem as well. All my other apps are working fine, and I can watch Apple TV+ on my Samsung android tablet just fine but not on my Samsung TV. When trying to watch through the TV I get a choice of 'how to watch' , when I press this it tells me I have to sign up for this app. Driving me crazy!!!

The Apple ID account security questions, would be questions and answers that the account creator has chosen.

Please use your own personal Apple ID account.


You wouldn’t need those security questions if you have two-factor authentication (a much better system; more secure and more user-friendly).

You can’t reset the questions without some sort of proof of who you are. Else anyone could take over your account, and no-one wants that.
