I'm on MacOS Monterey and iOS 16.4.1 (both up to date), where copy-and-paste from my iPhone to MacOS is not working. Steps to debug include restarting bluetooth on each device; try pasting into different apps, try selecting/copying the text from the iPhone again, repeat debugging steps. No luck.
Is there a bug in the new revision of iOS that is preventing this operation? How can we fix this?

Handoff (the name of the mechanism for transferring state data between your Mac an iPhone) doesn't rely solely on Bluetooth.
Both devices have to be logged in on the same iCloud account, and Handoff needs to be enabled.
So first check that you're logged into iCloud on both devices.
The on the Mac, check System Preferences -> General, and make sure that the 'Allow Handoff between this Mac and your iCloud devices' is enabled.
On the iPhone, check Settings -> General -> AirPlay & Handoff to make sure it's enabled there.
For what it's worth, the 'best reply' response solved it for me.
I tried the first terminal command, but this came up with an error as it couldn't find the file. When I used Finder to look for the file the terminal command was trying to delete, it wasn't there. It seems that that file had never been generated for whatever reason, possibly the root cause of the copy-paste between phone and computer not working!
The second terminal command did work and generated the file. Lo and behold, the copy-paste between phone and computer suddenly started working.
I think this happened with me too - the file was never there to begin with. In that case, the second terminal command fixed it for me, as that command generates the file that was missing and is needed for the copy paste to work. Try using the second terminal command and see if that solves the problem for you.
It is enabled on both devices. The loading symbol comes up when I paste, as it normally would, but then nothing pastes. How can I fix that?
This has stopped working since I updated my phone to iOS 17.1 RC and Mac to MacOS Sonoma 14.0
Ditto, it appears that it was broken with the last update. It was working, now it isn't :(
Same for me, Switched to iOS 17 PB, and MacOS Sonoma PB. Not working since.
The same on my side, it is not working between my MacBook Pro (2020 M1Sonoma 14.1) and iPhone 14 Pro (iOS 17.1). iPhone and iPad is still working.
Please release a fix Apple - looks like this has been getting reported for some time now and its reasonable to expect more from you!
Not working for me - MacBook Pro m3 (Sonoma) and everything - fine between my other devices so long as not to nor from the Mac.
Yet another "It just (doesn't) work" feature that's got broken. I find the copy / paste works OK from Mac to iPhone but not for iPhone to Mac.
Sure, I find Windows to be a PITA generally and haven't used a Windows laptop for 15 years, but with so many of the things that are supposed to make Apple easier to live with being very patchy (Airdrop is also very temperamental) or even plain broke, I have a feeling the next big sum of money I will drop will be on a Windows laptop with better spec and less restriction. Gradually eating away at the 'ease of use' functionality of Apple knocks out one of the key reasons I have stuck with the brand.
Indeed, lots of things work very poorly now, if at all. Keyboard on the iPhone is atrocious now too. Auto-correct unusable and I constantly have to select the Shift key 2-3 times before it will actually stay selected for a one letter press.
Also another day to day waste of time because of this bugs in my phone is that when texting, I use diactirical marks, but now I have all languages options displayed, whereas before I just have the languages I use. So, unnecessary stuff is going on now.
Same issue for me, it did rework after rebooting both my mac & iphone but now it just doesn't work again for no reason.
And as the previous reply, I have no issue on my work Macbook, it only happens on my personal one.

I was so happy I bought a new MacBook, but this feature doesn't work LOL. Tried all yt videos, disconnected the cloud, also disconnected cards :D, this is so shame
MacBook Pro Sonoma 14.1.1. IOS 17.1.2 Copy and paste used to work between my devices. It no longer does. I am logged into the same iCloud account on both. Looking at my iCloud account on my Mac, I can see my phone in the list at the bottom. Hand-off is enabled on both devices.
This is a MAJOR issue!! copy/paste from mac to iphone only half the time works. I use feature a lot for work, today for example it was working great 1 minute and and then randomly stopped. normally I can restarts my iphone and it'll work again. not today.
Will be looking to switch away from apple if this doesn't get fixed
