Not receiving iPhone verification texts

I was at my carriers place of business (AT&T) for two hours, and they couldn’t explain anything to me -so that didn’t work. I’m right back where I started from and I can’t find an answer on this site anywhere.

This worked wonders!! Only downside is I got ALL of the verification codes at once, like 80 of them 😂

So I need to go to Verizon to have this issue corrected??? I’ve making the journey to the Apple Store on 3 events and they tried everything and now I’m being told to go to my Verizon Store ???! WOW 🤪

If anyone has found a solution that would be great. I have done all the troubleshooting and called my cell provider and nothing seems to be working. Cant receive text from my bank, or any third-party verification codes. No numbers are blocked, updated the sim card, tried the Airplane mode, and ensured all spam blockers were off. It started about 3 weeks ago still no answers. Receiving text from businesses and friends at a lost. On IOS 17.3

I hate the forced updates! Apple needs to stop! I have the same problem now too!!! Enough already....android phone is looking better and better these days.

That's the exact date mine started. I called the carrier AT&T twice and both times they didn't think it was on their end. Magically after my 2nd call it was fixed and the messages sent by short code came in. Not sure what they did. If you call your carrier, don't mention anything about issues with Android texts, they will assume it's an "Apple" thing. Just tell them you aren't getting text verifications.

🚨🚨 Guys, I've been battling this issue now for MONTHS! I've been to the AT&T store more than once, called Customer Service, visited Best Buy, and scoured the internet to find a solution all to no avail....

Skip all of the well-meaning posts in this thread, and follow these simple steps:

1. For ATT&T - Call Advanced Technical Support @ 800-321-2000
2. Tell them what's wrong
3. They fix it in 15 minutes

The issue is with short-codes, which are often disguised by banks, businesses, and apps as 10-digit phone numbers to communicate with their clientele. But for reasons unknown, some phones are configured with what my operator called "Spam blockers". He's not sure why some phones are set up that way while others are not. But regardless, it's a feature that CAN be turned off and removed from your phone. BUT you cannot do it yourself. There's no setting that you can activate to fix this. The Tech Support team has to do this on their end.

Anyways, it's been a LONG journey... and I'm excited to say that my phone now receives these shortcodes and verification messages no problem!!

I am having the same problem just started today 3/23/24 can't for the life of me figure this out and there is not much help on the web. Caught a few videos that has some solutions and none of them worked. I have T-Mobile.
