Ever since I installed Apple iso17 and the updates I no longer can receive codes from sites not on apps but some apps also will not allow codes to be received ??? Also so far there is also one person that can not send text messages that I see???
Hello it’s been happing for a 3 days my phone is not receiving verification codes and also it’s my friends rings me and they can’t get thru me because it’s saying my number it’s not recognised
I’m not able to receive two factors verification codes on iPhone 7+
This didn’t work for me unfortunately
It's an easy fix. Call your carrier and get them to take off the spam blocker. Spam blocker is a great tool but it blocks the 4or 5 digit phone numbers that verification process uses to text customers.
I just called this number and the individual, Ryan, fixed this problem. It required a lot of steps and I could've never done it on my own. Also I have an iPhone 11 Pro with an old Sim card and he replaced it with an eSIM card. I'm receiving these codes now and everything is good.
I called the carrier AT&T twice and both times they didn't think it was on their end. Magically after my 2nd call it was fixed and the messages sent by short code came in. Not sure what they did. If you call your carrier, don't mention anything about issues with Android texts, they will assume it's an "Apple" thing. Just tell them you aren't getting text verifications.

Hi friend 👋 did you get this resolved? If so, may you please tell me how? It’s been terrible for me as well. I cannot sign in anywhere online because I no longer receive the codes from sites, banking, discord, Amex, gaming and any other apps for that matter. I’d be so grateful for your help.

Here is the phone number. (866) 288-7629). It was recommended by Sharpeyes. I am now getting codes from text messages. It took several steps. I can't remember what those are. But it was Apple support that solved the problem. Good luck with this!
did everything suggested here even resetting my network settings. WHAT WORKED FOR ME was calling verizon and having them “refresh,” and “re-sync” my “phone on the network” (their words, not mine). They used both words interchangeably (refresh/re-sync). To ey sent me text sms messages and when it worked, I tested it by trying to sign into a website that wasn’t able to send me the 6-digit codes for nearly a week that I really needed to sign I to.
I also wanted to try calling apple support like suggested above but I didn’t need to. Next time I’ll try apple support. Just don’t let your phone carrier tell you they can’t fix this u tip they’ve refreshed your phone on the network. It took the lady 40 mins to figure it out but she was diligent and I was patient and it worked.
I’d like to truly thank the community here for all your help because regular web searches were not helpful. Telling me to do silly things like reset my phone and update phone as if that’s not troubleshooting 101. I guess everyone isn’t a tech geek like me and maybe they need to be told to reset their phone. Sometimes that does work. But it was YOU all who truly helped. Thank you, again! I AM so grateful.
I had the same issue. Call your carrier.

Hi Sharpeyes1,
Seems like I'm having the same issues which started once I moved from my old carrier to a new one (KPN). Could you verify this is an issue that could exist at any carrier in any country, if so it may has to do with my new phone which I recently took in use and that the carrier doesn't register the new phone IMEI but still uses the old one (?).
Restart your iPhone - Restarting your iPhone can often fix glitches that may be preventing you from receiving verification code SMS. Press and hold the Power button until the "slide to power off" option appears, then swipe to shut down your iPhone. Once your iPhone has shut down, press and hold the Power button again until the Apple logo appears.
if you were so “interested” in your problem u would’ve figured out your problem yourself and had the brain power to know that u should probabaly call tech support about a tech issue.. I’m happy u got an employee with patience that could take care of that for u but fyi that is u a problem not an AT&T store employees problem. We don’t get trained on how to fix stuff like that, we are there to sell phones and services we’re not Tech support ppl. This isn’t me being an “A-hole” this is dumb ppl not being able to use their Brian to know to call customer service, AT&T stores say right on the front door “Authorized RETAIL Store” not tech center where we fix phones store.
