Vertical blank box on the Google search results screen

Lately I’ve noticed a problem in Safari and only on the iPad. A vertical box appears on the right side of the search results pages blocking that part of the screen. It doesn’t move when I scroll up and down. Also, it doesn’t matter whether it’s in dark or light mode. iPad OS 16.5

Black tool bar on safari I did not change any settings on my iphone, but suddenly my toolbar, when I open up Safari, has turned black with white writing. A notice about privacy screening is on the page every time I open it. All of my regular aps are moved way down the screen. Has anybody else had this issue? if so, how did you fix it? iPhone Safari new tab is now completely blank page Previously, when I would open a new tab in Safari, it would show me my favorite bookmarks. However, lately it shows me a completely blank black page. I have looked online about how to edit my start page in Safari, and they all say there should at least always be a button that lets me edit the page, but there is literally nothing, as my screenshot shows. I have recently migrated to a new device (from 6s to 16e) and applied software updates; it is possible that one of these events is related to this problem. Any advice?

How do I stop the search bar from disappearing in safari for Ipad pro, 12.9, 6th gen. ios 18.1 As you can see, the address bar is not in the photo. I would like to make it so the address bar never disappears while surfing the internet.

Search customization made no diff for me. Tried before and after the 16.5 update

Thanks for the suggestion because it worked for me. I no longer see that annoying box when I do a Google search.
