How to create a smart album in Photos with NO keywords so I can focus on adding them to those?

I did find a discussion and someone suggested the answer but when I tried it I could do it == basically it was to have the Keyword is not ANY but there is no such choice in my ver. 7 Photos library == thanks.

It used to work for me on Monterey as well, Victoria.it is strange, that you are not seeing "Any" in the list of keywords.

Do you have PowerPhotos installed? Then you can easily find the photos without keywords by displaying all photos in list view and clicking the header of the keywords volume to sort your photos by the keywords. The photos without any keyword will appear at one end of the sorted list. The free trial version of PowerPhotos will suffice for this.

That's the problem = it is not in the Keyword Manager in Photos - I gather if there are lots of keywords it may take awhile to load so I've opened Photos and the Manager to see if it'll load after awhile == as of 2 min. ago it had not == I'll wait a bit more and see if it does load = but the next Q is how can I fix it, if it's never loading as a part of Photos independent of what I do.?

Thanks - I can do that - but you said something which may be the answer == "Keep in mind that the available criteria options may vary depending on the version of the Photos app and the operating system you are using" - I called Apple last night and the photo guy worked with me then went up the chain and asked someone who said "get Ventura" = not the answer I want and I'll check again but it may be that Monterey doesn't have a filter criteria of Any whereas other OS do =

It seems that you're encountering an issue with the Keyword Manager in your photo library. Adding the word "Any" to the Keyword Manager did not reflect the expected results, and when you performed a search using the suggested reference keyword, it showed that the total number of pictures in the library is 13,172, while the smart album with no keyword has 13,171 pictures.

To further investigate the issue and ensure accurate keywording, you mentioned that you will run PowerPhotos, likely a third-party software designed for managing and organizing photos. Running PowerPhotos could help you double-check the presence of keywords in your images.

It's important to note that not all of your pictures have been keyworded, although many of them do have keywords assigned by pickleballopinion. By using PowerPhotos or a similar tool, you should be able to get a comprehensive overview of the keyword assignments and identify any discrepancies or missing keywords in your library.
