Is there a way to keep junk mail from downloading from the server?

Lately I've been getting a ridiculous amount of junk mail.

I am sick of blocking contacts and deleting them one by one.

One is ***

The 'info' part is always the same, as is the '.irkaspersky.com'. Everything else changes.

I am also getting them from ***

Again, 'info' stays the same, as does 'thermonix.com'.

I would love to prevent them from even being downloaded.

Is there a way to do that?

Or even set it up so everything that comes through with those commonalities is blocked, thereby allowing me to delete at will.

I really appreciate any insight.

Thanks kindly.

Client side filtering once it reaches your computer...

Server side filters depending on your email provider— you can log in through a browser and make some changes to Spam filters there.

One of the best piece of software I ever invested in was third party spam filter...SpamSieve

If Junk mail is not working for you as expected you can turn it off in Mail>Settings.

You have the option of installing a third party spam filter. ex.

there are others of course:
