Apple Mails rules not working

I am changing my main email address. I have tried setting up a rule to forward all mail arriving at my old address to my new one: the process seems quite clear and unambiguous. However, it only seems to work very occasionally. Both mailboxes are set up in mail, and work fine in all other respects.

mail rules don't work I am trying to setup a simple rule to forward messages from a user. I am using this on my work email account (using imap) for now I am just testing it, so I have the following: Description: Test if all of the following conditions are met: Account David (this is my email account name I want to forward from) From. Contains aliexpress.com. (I want to forward all emails from aliexpress) Perform the following actions: Forward message To (the email address I want to forward to) I hit ok, and choose "Don't apply", because I don't want it to go through all my emails. I then go to an email in my account named david, from aliexpress, and click apply rules, but nothing happens. This rule is the only one I have set to active. I have also left it for a day to see if new emails get forwarded (they don't). [Email Edited by Moderator]

iCloud email rules not working Just recently any email rules I create on iCloud.com don’t seem to work at all. I’ve tried simple “subject contains” rules and also rules from a particular address. Here’s an example: “Move messages with subject containing Work Order to Trash and mark as read.” Messages still go to my inbox. I’ve called Apple Support and did troubleshooting with them but they were also at a loss as to why it’s happening. I have “Advanced Data Protection” turned on for my AppleID but that shouldn’t conflict and I don’t see any posts about an issue with that. Has anyone else had a problem with iCloud.com rules? Thanks.

Thanks ku4hx it’s good to know I am not the only one. Email is an old technology, so they probably don’t care about it any more. Typical of the industry as a whole.
