When I try to do this, the only option I’m given is to delete from all albums. I want to move photos from ‘recents’ to a folder I create and then delete from recents.

I have iPhone 13. Trying to delete some old photos from my albums. Nothing happens when I hold the pic for a few seconds. How can I delete them? I see no trash can or delete button. Thanks
Hold the picture for a few seconds, press delete in the menu that pops up
On your iMac, control click on the photo in the album and then click "Remove photo from album" in the menu that pops up.
