Apple Wallet says “Pass Disabled” for TicketMaster

My Ticketmaster concert tickets in the Wallet suddenly show “Pass Disabled” and “This pass is associated with a different Apple ID”. Ticketmaster has not been able to help me so far. I do still show my tickets in Ticketmaster. Is it safe and wise to try deleting them in the Wallet and then start over in Ticketmaster and add to Wallet again? I did not transfer these to anyone so there shouldn’t be duplicates. Although a different set of tickets for same weekend were transferred to my spouse and it has the same message.

Just had this same issue. I decided to try signing out of my Apple ID on my phone and got a notif from the Ticketmaster app saying I need to sign into my iCloud to add my pass (my ticket) back to the wallet app. So I signed back in and it worked for me! To anyone having this issue, try signing out of your Apple ID and signing back in in the wallet app or in settings (try either). That’s exactly what I did and it worked! Hopefully it works for you too :)

I too reached out to my NFL season rep who contacted TM on my behalf. He just informed me my account was unbound and I was able to relink my account to my wallet. I don’t know if this occurred before or after I transferred an event ticket to my son who accepted it in his account, added to his wallet and transferred it back upon where I was able to relink my account to my wallet. His Apple ID had been attached to my TM account which was blocking mine. Either way I can now add event tickets to my wallet. Thanks everyone for the advice and input.

I can confirm this just worked. My son, whose Apple ID was attached to my Ticketmaster account has his own Ticketmaster account now. I bought event tickets, transferred a ticket to him, he added to his Apple wallet. I logged out of my Ticketmaster and when he transferred the ticket back I was asked to Face ID to my email to accept and was able to add to my wallet. I was also able to add a few other event tickets to my wallet that I had not been able to. Hopefully this is the end of the issue.

This problem is new and dumb. It used to work fine and now it doesn’t. Here is the solution that will work…

Create a TM account using the same email address as your Apple ID. Transfer your tickets from your original TM account to this new one. To avoid the problem in the future you should buy tickets on the new TM account that matches your Apple ID since some tickets can’t be transferred.

No - the issue is Ticketmaster insisting that your Ticketmaster Account be the same as your AppleID. So if they aren’t, no matter if you delete from your Apple Wallet and try again, it will not work.

Ticketmaster have gone with a very lazy solution and should reach out to an Airline or similar to work out how it should be coded to work successfully regardless what their Customer’s Apple ID is.

It looks like my first reply didn’t get posted or somehow disappeared. In any case this is the second time in two weeks “pass disabled” has happened to me. Both times right after I updated the iOS (now on 17.3.1).

My solution the last time this occurred was to reset the network settings. Oddly enough no one told me to do this, just an idea that popped into my head.

Apple just gives their generic “known issue, we’re working on it” response. They took note of my complaint and directed me to apple.com/support/feedback. If enough people provide feedback, it will get the powers that be to take a harder look at this problem (or so I hope).

Spoke with Ticketmaster and like others have noted, they say it’s an Apple issue. That I should update the iOS (this after my telling them that’s what led to this being a problem in the first place) and make sure I’m using the up-to-date version of the app. The latter not being something I can control. Whatever version is in the App Store as of today (February 9) is what I have. Basically useless answers.

As per another response I left here, did the transfer to another TM account (registered to me) thing . Wasn’t able to add the pass to Apple Wallet from that secondary account. Rather than go back and forth between boards to find a solution for that, transferred the ticket back to the original account.

I really hope someone somewhere figures this nonsense out. Using the barcode from the TM App defeats the purpose of the Apple Wallet.

Has anyone tried resetting all settings? If resetting the network ones worked before, maybe going full meal deal would work.

This just happened to me as well. Context: 2023 finally changed from Android to iPhone. Created new Apple ID. Managed multiple concert events, NBA games and airline tickets utilizing the Apple Wallet. Recently bought a personal iPhone with an old Apple ID I used to use for iTunes (only). I tried to use my personal phone Apple Wallet for the concert tickets and got an 'Activating Tickets' message which eventually changed to Disabled due to being purchased with a different Apple ID. I manage both Apple ID's but as of know it doesn't look like you can choose which ID to use for the wallet, seems Ticketmaster locks you in to the original. I had no issue using the Ticketmaster App to scan the tickets.

Just ran across this with sports season tickets I can use bar code but not add to wallet. Turns out my son used my TM account for a concert a few months back and loaded into Apple wallet. His Apple ID is now linked to my TM account. He can add the tickets to his wallet logging on as me on his phone but I get the dreaded message. Spent extensive back and forth with TM. They had no solution but to delete account and use new email. Spoke to Apple too and they said all TM. So beware if you log onto a different device using your account it may adopt that Apple ID. It would seem TM could simply change the linked Apple ID . Not sure why just a one way and can’t revert back. Still searching for solutions but will try some of these suggestions.
