Apple TV 4K white noise problem

After 2 years of care free usage of Apple TV 4K, a white noise sound problem starting to occur sometimes after a couple of minutes or a couple of hours of use. The problem occurs when powered up (stops when powered down) and the noise is found during booting to the menu system and all the apps.

Tried changing the hdmi cables and tv ports with the same issue, it’s not the tv because the problem stops when Apple TV is disconnected or powered down. Starts again when powered up, it might be an software issue a bug or could be hardware tiring with the hdmi port internals but it’s definitely not the Apple TV external hdmi port, for the cable sits well in the socket and if you wiggle the connection the problem persists until fully disconnected with no signal to the tv.

So no change with a cable wiggle. There no loose sounds coming from inside the box explaining a physical failure and it’s strange that the problems intermittent, it comes and goes. Maybe for hours it’s fine then the problem comes and doesn’t go away until power down and give it a nights rest.

i have tried a system reset and tried all video setting and audio with no success. I haven’t tried connecting it to a home pod but got one on order to see if that will fix the issue by switching to it exclusively. Otherwise I may have to buy another one for its past its 12 months warranty. I hope this is a software issue and will be fixed by Apple. In my view Apple hardware should last longer than 2 years.
