Casting from iPhone to my Sony Google TV worked fine all week until todays iOS update. Now the iPhone Air Play option in the video stream doesn’t show the TV.

I understand that you're having trouble casting from your iPhone to your Sony Google TV after the recent iOS update. There are a few things you can try to troubleshoot this issue:

  1. Restart your iPhone and your Sony Google TV. This can sometimes fix minor software problems. To restart your iPhone, hold down the power button and the home button at the same time until you see the Apple logo. To restart your Sony Google TV, press and hold the power button for about 10 seconds.
  2. Check that your iPhone and your Sony Google TV are on the same Wi-Fi network. If they're not, you won't be able to cast to your TV.
  3. Make sure that AirPlay is turned on on your Sony Google TV. To do this, go to Settings > Device Preferences > AirPlay & HomeKit.
  4. Update the software on your iPhone and your Sony Google TV. Apple often releases software updates that fix bugs. To check for updates, go to Settings > General > Software Update. To check for updates on your Sony Google TV, go to Settings > System > System update.

If you've tried all of the above and you're still having trouble casting, you may need to contact Sony support for help.

Here are some additional tips to help you troubleshoot the issue:

  • Make sure that your iPhone is close to your Sony Google TV. The closer the devices are, the better the signal will be.
  • Try using a different video. If the problem is only happening with a particular video, try using a different video to see if that fixes the problem.
  • Try restarting your router. If your router is having problems, it can interfere with AirPlay.
