keypad digits not working so can't respond to phone prompts.

I call (some) companies and am unable to respond to phone prompts with keypad digits so have to hang up. Phone is clean, not wet, and just closed out and reopened.

Please wait for the entire menu to be spoken out before you tap a number.

I tried the phone today and it seemed to work (the phone disconnected but that's not an apple issue, but I will try it later, also, to be sure). Perhaps I was going too fast then on phone
