keyboard commands

I have a 2022 Studio, Ventura 13.1. And my wired Mac keyboard may be 10 years old.

I assigned keyboard shortcuts to move apps from side to side on one monitor, and monitor to monitor.

But, within minutes, it forgets the commands.

I tried using another old Mac keyboard, and same thing.

Help?

Thank you for the images, they do clarify the problem.

I suggest that you first restart in Safe Mode. See if the problem persists.

Then restart normally and see if it is working.

As P. Phillips mentioned, there is a new version out, but I don't expect that just updating will solve this, because it is probably something specific to your setup - either a bad cache (in which case the above trip to Safe Mode should help) or some other form of software conflict.

If the problem persists: Please run Etrecheck and post its full report here. Use the "additional text" button and paste the report into the text box.

  1. I Successfully restarted in Safe mode, but I never saw any indication of it. There was no "Safe Boot" in the menu bar.
  2. In whatever mode I was in, I definitely lose the ability to search for files with command f. No results show.
  3. In the safe mode, the original problem with keyboard commands to move apps around still exists.
  4. After restarting, command f works just fine.

Thanks for all the help. I would not belabor this, but this Mac Studio, 2022 was bought in December, so it's still pretty new.
