Why is my iPhone Face ID disabled?

The phone just fall inside a bold of water and I pick it up immediately and clean it and the next thing I saw, was your Face ID is disabled. I even updated the phone to the latest iOS still it’s still displaying the same thing

You have water damage to your phone, that is why the True Depth camera stopped working. Updating the operating system will have no affect on this. Take it to an Apple store and have them look at it. Unfortunately water damage is usually non-repairable, you are probably looking getting a new phone.


Make an appointment at the Genius Bar to have it diagnosed.
