Using Applewatch to swim in endless pool option

I use the “ open swim “ option so I get the pulse & time data. I agree having a setting analogous to treadmill running would be helpful

I submitted a feature request as should anyone who wants this.

I think the best solution is similar to how Apple Watch handles treadmills that don't have an option to sync with the watch: calculate pace and distance based on outdoor walks & runs and apply that to treadmill walks & runs. It's imperfect but it's reasonable. This option could work for all SwimSpas not just Endless Pools. The Apple watch would encourage the user to swim in a regular pool and then use that data for the swims in SwimSpas.
