My card can’t be added on my Apple Wallet

Your have different issues if you can’t add a payment method to your Apple ID. Please create a new, separate post so we don’t spam these people that have a separate issue.

I am not able to add cards in my apple wallet anymore. This message pops up and thats all.. it is so annoying. Have been using apple wallet since long time. Now I can’t update my cards when they are about to expire..

Has anyone resolved this issue? I'm using my nieces iPhone 8 and she took it in to get it fixed but it turned out her charger port was just dusty and then the guy at boost told my mom that she should upgrade her phone because soon the older iPhone models will no longer be able to operate or function properly and possibly not even be able to update to the newest software version so my mom ended up buying her another phone and she gave me the old phone but I don't believe that because I was using an iPhone 6 for a long time and it still is able to upgrade and function properly and that phone was able to use Apple pay still and this was just over the summer so it wasn't that long ago I used that phone until I got my iPhone XR than someone stole it.

Is the other people on this form said Apple blames the bank and the Bank blames Apple and I did all of the suggested steps that I've seen so far. And even after the associate from boost told my mom that and I started using the phone I was able to use Apple pay with no problem until I remove the card and I had tried to add a new one and it didn't allow me to and I even tried several cards the only car that had a different message on there besides "contact your issuer for more information" and that was with a PayPal card and after I tried to put that one on there they didn't accept my provider right now.

I was thinking maybe the salesman was right but that can't be the case if all of these ppl with new iPhones are having the same problems right now??? I did every that I seen so far that could possibly cause and fix the issue but I still can't use my all my apple wallet 😭

I was on iOS 17.2.1 but it has just updated to 17.3. I have removed the cards from the old phone and now managed to add two cards to the new phone. One is still not adding but I will try again tomorrow and call the bank if it still does not work. Thank you for your help.

Here's the resolution: Remove Apple Cash from Settings > Wallet&Apple Pay > Apple Cash. By deleting this it forces a sync connection back to Apple. Once the card is added you can re-add "Apple Cash" if you wish.

Most banks use a third party verifier such as Mastercard or Visa. They could also be going through a merchant services provider. The bank has to get a hold of the third party. It’s an issue because the support staffs aren’t trained to know how to resolve these issues.

I believe you are right I’m facing this problems for more than two weeks and I called Apple more than five times 5 different agents and all they say there is no blockage from Apple but my bank told me there is no blockage too I believe there is and the bank have already reset the token and even update the MSOS

For now what I know is Bank doesn’t have a department who specially handle Apple Pay and I don’t know. Is it just in my country? Which is Malaysia here but apple keep requesting me to call the PNO PAYMENT NETWORK OPERATOR AND THEY DON’T HAVE THE NUMBER EVEN SO I HAVE TO SEARCH ONE BY ONE OF COURSE I CALLED THE BANK THE BANK DOESN’T EVEN KNOW ABOUT THIS DEPARTMENT. I CALLED TO MASTERCARD. AND Walah they hand me back to my bank. So for people who are trying to call Visa or master. Don’t think about it. And I see some people say Apple Pay is working. Nope it’s not For everyone yet at least not for me yet my bank support Apple wallet this is not the first time I use Apple wallet I try all the troubleshooting from Apple and Bank try all the troubleshooting at their end also for people to take note regarding the token I believe if you receive the message saying card not added please contact card issue certain times it’s because of the token because last year my first Bank Card I have added to too many phones and I need to go to the bank to reset the token but this card which I’m referring to to this year have already reset the token for tons of time from the bank and I confirm it’s not the token

I’m having the same issue as everyone else with not being able to add my card to my apple wallet . I believe the issue is with Apple and this is why; I was successfully able to add the same cards to my friend’s Apple wallet with no problem.

I reached out to my card issuer (chase) and they too were unsuccessful with adding the card to my Apple wallet. I was told by the card issuer they received a message stating my Apple account has a FRAUD alert on it which is preventing them from adding my card to the wallet on there end.

I reached back out to Apple support and was told I don’t have any alerts on my Apple account. And the message the card issuer provided was untrue.

Can someone tell me if a Fraud alert on an Apple account is really a thing and how do I get this resolved?
