Annoying Visual Lookup ID icon

Hi josephandpearson! You can turn off Visual Lookup by turning off Siri Suggestions. Here are the instructions for macOS Monterey:

1. On your Mac, go to the Apple menu  > System Preferences, click Spotlight, then click Search Results.
2. In the list, deselect the Siri Suggestions checkbox.
3. Restart the Photos app for the change to take effect.

The visual lookup icon will also vanish, when you close the Info. You may want to use this method, if you want to be able to use the Siri Suggestions occasionally.

As long as the Info button with the star on the circle is highlighted in blue, the visual lookup badge will be shown.

Click the Info button to close the Info, or use the shortcut ⌘i to close it, when you want to see the photo without the badge overlay. The button will not be colored, when the Info is hidden.
