Importing contacts

We are unable to login to our iPhone account (yes, we’ve been ALL the way up the iPhone support line). Anyway, bought a new phone but need to transfer all the contacts without access to the original iCloud. I exported “all contacts” (6kish) to a vcf file. Imported in the new iCloud account but it only imported around 2400. How can I import ALL of my contacts? What should I look for to fix whatever is going on?

"I cannot signin to iCloud on the old phone. I need to know how to import the contacts. I have exported them but they are not all importing."

-------

Import these to Mail on a Mac:

If you have a Mac, then using the Mail app, import them to that. Then, enable Mail in iCloud Settings on the Mac.

Enabling Contacting in iCloud Settings:

  1. Open: System Settings
  2. Click: Name
  3. Click:iCloud
  4. Click: Show All button
  5. Select: Contacts (so that it is green)

You are most welcome! Excellent job troubleshooting.

Exporting Messages:

A. Import these to the Messages App on a Mac:

Set Up Messages on the Mac. If iMessage was enabled on the iPhone, then they should show up just fine on the Messages app on the Mac.

Go Here: Set Up Messages on Mac - Apple Support

Another option...
