I do have my iphone 12 charging adapter (20-watt) is this sufficient for 15 Pro OR better to have a 35-watt adapter and using a 35-watt adapter can impact the battery life?

Regardless of which Apple power adapter you use, it will regulate how much current is provided to the iPhone's internal charger.
For fast charging, you would want an adapter that provides at least 18W. Anything greater will not charge the phone any faster.
