After WatchOS 10 update I cannot swipe between watch faces

@Anupjadhav You can still Ping. Just tap the long skinny side button (not the round crown button). You'll see the ping come up. You're right though, it used to be swipe up. Changed. I'm okay with user interface changes, but not mechanical muscle memory changes like these.

Totally agree. It was great to quickly switch for different occasions/parts of my day. What a dumb update. Ugh…For those who are “accidentally” switching, why not make a setting for them to have it stick instead of taking this important functionality away? Boo hiss.

This is some ISH. I am not pleased and I wish I hadn’t updated the watch os. I’ve literally never accidentally changed the face by swiping and if that’s the reason, give the option to turn swipes off and on. I no longer want to invest in a newer Apple Watch. Ready to throw this one away and go back to FitBit.

I HATE this and not being able to upswipe anymore to access DO NOT DISTURB & find my phone. Awful update. Hate it so much. Bring back face swap swiping. Even in exercising I don’t have the luxury to hold down on a face. Should be an option to turn their be feature on and off.

Do a force check of Settings->General->Software Update.

It is a biggie so takes a few minutes.

Then per above “on the watch” Settings->Clock->Swipe to switch watch face.

OK, watchOS 10.2 brought back the swipe. But when I swipe my watch displays nonsense for about a second (wrong time - all complications show wrong things) and then updates to show the real things. That's ridiculous. Please Apple just give name the option to downgrade to watchOS 9 much more elegant and it had everything like I wanted it! I really dislike the way you're heading with watchOS!

It definitely didn’t. One man’s trash is another man’s treasure, I don’t like it at all, and I have reduce motion on for that reason. Guess im sending more feedback because it’s apparently impossible to think of accessibility 🤷‍♀️

I hate this new update. I like to be able to switch back-and-forth to different Watch faces because each one did something to make my life easier. Now I have to go on the phone to switch watch faces. At least give us an option undo this new update.!

watchOS 10.2 can enable left/right watch face swiping as an option.

Open the Settings app on your Apple Watch.

Scroll down and choose “Clock”.

Toggle on the “Swipe to Switch Face” setting.

This was a problem for me too. The good news is that with the 10.2 update, a choice is now offered to restore that swiping function if you wish.

On the watch - not the phone - go to settings-> general -> clock, and click on that. You’ll see a button to restore the swipe to change faces function.

It still does NOT work for me. I updated to 10.2, still cannot swipe

between faces. I deleted 2 of the faces and re-added. Nothing. Turned Watch off and back on, cel too, nothing. I continue with only ONE watch face. Help, Apple!!

Nonsense. Hands resetting from 10.09 every swipe looks ugly and primitive. Never before have we had this ridiculous feature. How is this in the least useful? It is a bug and needs an update. Ios10.2 is a downgrade for me. Cannot understand why you are so defensive of a pathetic "upgrade".
