After WatchOS 10 update I cannot swipe between watch faces

Not sure if this is just me or did Apple just remove the ability to swipe between watch faces? After updating, the only way to get to the neighboring watch face is to long-press to (brings up the edit button) and then I can move to a neighboring watch face. If that's intentional, that sucks. I use four neighboring faces for different purposes and am swiping between them constantly. This will make using the watch very laborious for me.

If it is not an intentional removal of a critical feature, and it's just me. What do I do to restore that most basic of functions? The watch is a Series 5 white ceramic.

Thanks.

It's yet another kluge that comes with watch iOS 10. An hour or so spent wading through directions for adding glorious new watch faces brought me to these instructions (from a community member, not Apple!):

  1. press on the watch face until the screen changes to a small version of the current face. Ignore all the nonsense, just swipe as you used to to get to the face (and 'complication') you needed to change to. Do this each time you need to switch faces.

The clutter on the after long press screen consists of things much better done from the Watch app on the phone. Who needs it.

I am surprised it took me this long to notice. I have different watch faces for different purposes. I had a complication disappear, probably because its app got an update. I just had to re-add it to the two faces. Before doing this, I swiped to see if the complication was on the other face; that's when I found out.

I accidentally turn my flashlight on; I accidentally open apps; Every time I wash my hands I get a warning that the water is too loud. But, not once have I ever accidentally changed watch faces, (since the very first Apple watch).

Also, I liked being able to go to Reminders quickly, they got rid of favorite apps. They added a Widget for the Apple Watch for reminders that is even harder than scrolling to the app and opening it. Because it takes you to a different reminder list that you don't want. That's right, the widget is useless, unless that is the list you want to go to. Could you set up your favorite apps using the IOS watch app, yes. Can you set up Widgets on your phone, nope, just have to hold your arm horizontal for long enough to set a Guinness Record and all the Widgets seem to have no purpose at all, except to make ones life even harder. It has been weeks since I installed this, every day I think I need to simply now buy a sledgehammer, to eliminate this stress from my life. And even with all the changes the Time Zone can still not be set to stay the same as the iPhone. I just tested it again. I set the time zone on the iPhone to GMT, turned off my iPhone to simulate going for a walk without my phone and sure enough the time changed to local time on my watch, only to change back to GMT when I turned my phone back on. This is critical. People say just keep your phone with you. Right, then I no longer need the watch. I almost missed my cruise ship because my watch was an hour off from the ship with no notification. I did buy another watch that I can keep set correctly. I have posted on every cruise and travel forum to not buy an Apple watch unless you like missing the ship and paying $1,000s of dollars.
