After WatchOS 10 update I cannot swipe between watch faces

This may change again in watchOS 10.3, who knows? If it's too cutesy for you, let Apple know!

The squeaky wheels were able to bring back swipe to change the watch face.

Steve Wozniak, no longer part of Apple, is just a pundit with an opinion now. I don't put a lot of stock in much of what he says!

I get that it might make sense to have to load data that isn't currently loaded, but most of it should be instant. And if you switch back and forth between faces, everything should already be current.

It’s an intentional change to prevent accidental face changing, which others may have complained about

It's yet another kluge that comes with watch iOS 10. An hour or so spent wading through directions for adding glorious new watch faces brought me to these instructions (from a community member, not Apple!):

1. press on the watch face until the screen changes to a small version of the current face. Ignore all the nonsense, just swipe as you used to to get to the face (and 'complication') you needed to change to. Do this each time you need to switch faces.

The clutter on the after long press screen consists of things much better done from the Watch app on the phone. Who needs it.

It is a disappointment. I noticed this in the notes accompanying 10.1

It seems Apple isn’t aware that complications no longer provide quick access to anything- except for complications on the current face.

Yes. Getting the moving hands and complication. I use Solar Dial and the effect is definitely annoying. I will quibble over annoying v. super annoying 😀😂

And it happens with digital time and with timezone complications and it doesn’t turn off with “reduce motion” because of course it doesn’t 🤦‍♀️

You're a day late and a dollar short. The face swiping feature has been restored!

Settings > Clock > Swipe to Switch Watch Face

I agree too. Bad choice to eliminate face scrolling. I also hate that I can’t swipe up to find my phone and now have to open an app. Why change what worked😡
