Go to settings, go to notifications, go to Messages. Now make sure you have one of these selected. Mine was grey and didn’t have one selected. When I chose Notification Center my sound came back! 😎✌🏼

Hello. I had the same problem in whatsapp. No notifications coming in iPhone neither iWatch. All the others apps seems to work fine, even Facebook Messenger.

My solution was on delete the whatsapp app, turn off the phone and then turn it on again and reinstall whatsapp.

After restore settings in iCloud and data, wait to someone to message me and voila! it works again!!! got notifications on both devices.

I hope to this help someone to fix this issue.

I'm running iOS 17.0.1 on iPhone 12, did last whatsapp update and using iWatch SE 2022 watchOS 10.0.1

Here’s my update. I updated to 17.0.3 and confirmed that it DID fix my notifications issue. Apple pulled off a buzzer beater because I was planning on returning all three 15 Pro Max and my Ultra 2 tomorrow.

Also, I’m not sure why it’s only fixing some iPhones and not all. People should post what iPhone version and iOS they have to maybe narrow it down somewhat.

Hello everyone. I have the same issue on my iphone 14 pro max. I contacted apple support and they have send me the following notification.

Notifications on Apple Watch

Customize how often and how you receive notifications on your Apple Watch so you can respond immediately or check them whenever it's convenient for you.

Where notifications appear

Notifications appear on your Apple Watch or iPhone, but not both.

iPhone showing notifications pushed to iPhone instead of Apple Watch

If your iPhone is unlocked, you get notifications on your iPhone instead of your Apple Watch.

Apple Watch showing notifications pushed to Apple Watch instead of iPhone

If your iPhone is locked or in sleep mode, you receive notifications on your Apple Watch, unless your Apple Watch is locked.

Some apps, like the Noise app, are only available on your Apple Watch. Notifications for these apps don't appear on iPhone.

When there are unread notifications, the red notifications icon appears at the top of your watch face. If you want to hide the notifications icon, open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone, tap Notifications, then turn off Show Notifications.

When you read or dismiss notifications on your Apple Watch, they are also dismissed on your iPhone.

View and interact with a notification

When a notification appears, you can tap it to see more options. Depending on the app that sent the notification, you can reply to a message, return a call, archive an email, and more.

Apple Watch showing a missed call notification

If the Apple Watch screen is dark and inactive, full-screen notifications appear. When you use your Apple Watch, notifications appear in a banner at the top of the screen.

How to see all unread Apple Watch notifications

Touch and hold the top of the watch face to open Notification Center. You can do this from any screen.

Wait until the Notification Center appears and then swipe down.

Turn the Digital Crown to scroll or swipe up and down on the watch face.

Tap the notification to read it. To read grouped notifications, tap a stack, then tap a notification.

To delete a notification, swipe left, then tap the delete button .

How to clear all unread Apple Watch notifications

Touch and hold the top of the watch face to open Notification Center.

Rotate the Digital Crown or swipe down on the watch face until you reach the top.

Tap Clear All.

How to mute or disable an app's notifications on your Apple Watch

Touch and hold the top of the watch face.

Wait until the Notification Center appears and then swipe down.

Swipe left on the notification you want to mute or disable, then tap the More button.

Choose from the settings available for that app. Depending on the app, you can mute notifications for the rest of the day, turn them off for an hour, or turn them off completely.

If you want an app's notifications to appear again, you can turn them on:

Open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone, then tap the My Watch tab.

Tap Notifications.

Scroll down the list of installed apps and then enable the app you want to receive notifications from.

Adjust your Apple Watch notification settings

Open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone, then tap the My Watch tab.

Tap Notifications.

Tap an app to see its options. To use the same notification settings in apps that appear on both your Apple Watch and your iPhone, tap Mirror iPhone. In some apps you can customize your notifications. Tap Customize, then select an option:

Notifications Allowed: Notifications appear in Notification Center and your Apple Watch notifies you.

Send to Notification Center: Notifications are sent directly to the Notification Center
