iOS 17 Purchased Text Tones Missing

So I’ve been on the phone with Apple support for almost an hour now & passed thru 4 different “senior” representatives & none of them have any idea what is going on. They’ve all told me to do the same things & no luck at all. Currently on hold to speak to yet another “senior” representative, but I’m pretty sure they don’t know the solution to this problem. Cross our fingers that this gets fixed!

I found that some of my custom ringtones and text tones did transfer with my contacts but some did not. My custom ringtones were available to reassign to my contacts but no option to reassign custom text tones is currently available.

I am having the same issue and nothing i do works. Like i can change ALL text tones, but not individual ones and once i change all of them i see it until i go to the contact to change its not in the list to pick.

i reached out to Apple and they wanted me to do everything i had already done with a screenshot and recording showing them. He said some have got it to work with Network Reset but i haven’t tried that yet because i am waiting on them to call me back. UGH!!

You are not writing Apple on this user to user only forum. There is a feedback link posted multiple times in this thread, which you should use to share your thoughts with Apple.

in the meantime, you’ll have to wait for Apple to address this.

The issue has not yet been fixed in the current release version of iOS which is iOS 17.0.3.

I'm hoping they fix this problem. I wasn't aware of the issue until last night when I bought a tone and now I cannot assign it.

either yu own my account 200+ ringtones or just give us back what we paid for

Same issue, iPhone 15 pro max 512 gb, iOS 17.0.2. Purchased tones only show up for ringtone but not under text or alerts. Please fix this with next update.

You're welcome. I honestly think this was a mistake. The more people who let Apple know however, will get someones attention.

True, they won't respond to you. But they WILL read your comment and if you want Apple to know this is an issue for you, it's truly the best way to let them know.

Instead of telling me and other users on a user to user only forum, you think it's horrendous, tell Apple by using the link I provided.
