Only if the email message was sent from a mailing list to which you intentionally subscribed.

Otherwise, yes it will confirm your email address was legitimate and more valuable to even more spammers. Just keep sending them to Junk.

I never use an unsubscribe button in an email or banner or anywhere unless I am on the unsubscribe page of a company whose URL address is from a company I know.
