Apple Watch Ultra 2 VERY dim inside and dark enviroments..

Hello.

I just bought a very expensive Ultra 2 Watch. I am happy with the watch overall, but what totally ruins the experience is it is SO dim inside and in dark enviroments! I can hardly read it. There is no override available and the brightness is set to full. My son has a Series 6 and that is brighter in the same conditions. This cant be real? This so called "ULTRA" is more weak in brightness performance than an older regular Apple Watch. If there is something I HATE it is factory controlled auto stuff like this! We know the watch can be brighter so WHY on earth is it locked to a weak sensor that is WAY to low calibrated? I know its unfortunately not a hardware issue as ALL other Ultra Watch suffer from this ridicolous factory setting. Why can I not disable this auto dim or at least raise the lower minimum brightness. This is a disaster, as I can hardly read the watch in my office and living room where we have low light usually. This is almost a RETURN ISSUE for me! The fact that the user cannot set this setting when I bought and paid for the watch is a disgrace! And for those that reply its working as intended I can see by a search that hundreds of other users complain about this "error". This HAS to be corrected in a software update ASAP!

Just received my Apple Watch Ultra 2 today and loved it until nighttime. I cannot read my text messages at all because it’s so dim and the brightness feature does not do much. Please re-calibrate!!! This is unacceptable for a Watch at this price.

I have not heard of any issues with Series 8 or earlier. Yes, the fix is presumably in a yet to be released Watch OS. It is presumed to include the mentioned fix, but nothing is assured until it is actually released to the general public. Being careful with my wording in the hopes this won’t be deleted as crazy as that sounds.

Hold on another week. I think that if you do, it will be OK.

Or, I should say, better.

It's an individual thing, so I dare not say everyone will be happy, but I'm still updating feedback to include asking for an actual way to adjust to my liking, not just some random brightness level that "Apple" deem adequate.

What I find VERY UNSATISFACTORY about this whole thing is that before the update, the dimmed setting could be overridden by rotating the crown. Now rotating the crown just takes me through my notices which I really don't care about. Apple really screwed up on this one. They should give me the choice to decide what action the crown rotation would cause. I would not have voted for this one. I love the face, but hate the fact that when it's dim I can't read it AT ALL!

So, today the "undocumented" fix is out. What does everyone think? Good Enough?

Like I've been saying (and getting deleted for), the fix is indeed not showing in my feedback, but has been here for three builds. Is it better? Yes. Is it what I want? No.

I want to be able to use all 3000 nits if I want to, and thus far, I can't.

However, it's usable now...that's without testing while diving or other outdoor stuff where it's truly important - most important.

You don’t have to be a dev or seed program, they are public beta’s.

While there are public betas, I will not recommend them to the average user. Only because you can't go back on a watch. It's really better to wait. You also can't return an Apple product for replacement when it's running beta software.

Not that I don't think folks here are "smart" enough, but the end results are risky for many and I won't send you down that path...

It's coming.

simply, someone thought that if people had access to brightness settings, they would have bright screens on their watches and draw too much attention to themselves or disturb them, for example, in the cinema. The brightness at night should be at least slightly higher than before for people with poor eyesight and that will be enough. Right now it's worse than it was, unfortunately.
