iPhone 15 Pro Max Wi-Fi Issues

I Hope apple or others can help me out - I’m having issues with WiFi on the IPhone 15 Pro Max

myself and others are having issues with using WiFi and 160hz - many have raised issues on Reddit posts - some cannot connect to there WiFi at all and others can connect like myself but have random issues with no internet from time to time

Mines working on 5GHz 160hz, but sometimes I’ll just have no internet connection (it’s still connected to the WiFi) - I have to disconnect from the WiFi and connect again for it to work.

I’m using ASUS RT-AX82U - 5GHz allowed Upto 160hz - I’m running 1gig internet so last thing I want to do is try running at 80hz as I’ll loose speed

When it does work it works great 😊

I've got a fix!!! This was frustrating me to no end. Went to Apple store and talked with one of the experienced techs. He said the issue is the iPhone when you import from an old iPhone imports non-ideal network settings, not just your old iPhone passwords. Fix is below.

Network -> General -> Transfer or Reset iPhone -> Reset Network Settings

Wifi has been working like a charm since I did this. Read about this for hours and never saw this suggested anywhere else so figured I'd contribute.

Wait really? So if you've subscribed to iCloud + wifi works fine? WTF. I should hope Apple changes this. This is so, so, so far away from being needed. How do you get iCloud +?

I have iCloud + and that hasn’t fixed my problems so I doubt that’s the solution

I have icloud+ it hasn’t helped me. But if I turn off my google VPN it works fine.

running diagnostics is probably not going to help, there’s needs to be a IOS update to fix the issue

I’ve been working directly with apple care and logs have been collected from my phone (some other users on this page have also been contacted), The information has been passed up to engineers who will analyse the logs and see if a update fix can be created to fix the issue.

if they do and they can fix it via an update it might take 1 to 2 iOS updates for it to come out.

can I ask what router your using and your WiFi router settings?

That’s not a new update. It was released on the first day the 15s came out. We’ve all been experiencing our wifi issues on that update.

Ah. Yeah. It looked it up and it was week ago or something like that. I thought it was sooner. Oh well. My iPhone 15 Pro seems to be working fine now. We'll see if it lasts.

Same - periodically losing cellular data. I've been restarting each time to fix but will try airplane mode. Regardless it's frustrating and hasn't happened on previous models.

Seems to me, that the radio chip for WiFi is somehow limited for the 5 GHz band. The radio can not handle the 160 MHz spectrum well. Is there a new radio chip involved to the 15 Pro / 15 Pro Max?

Another data point. I can’t use 5GHz with my Calix C844G, regardless of bandwidth selection. iPhone 15 Pro.
