Swipe-up no longer shows the same features/functions on Apple Watch after the update

Hi, I frequently and I mean frequently swiped up on my Apple Watch to see the battery percentage, to ping my phone, turn sounds on and off, etc. Now I have to change those settings by pressing the side button 😞 Is there anyway I can change back to a swipe up to see those settings? I have also turned my automatic updates off, so this will not happen again. I believe this happened when my Apple Watch updated to the new operating system.

Hope they switch it back, or give us the option to choose what happens when we swipe up. the swipe up was the easiest and most used feature for me, now it’s just a wasted function I won’t use. I can put the one or two modules I use on a watch face.

Briefly press the side button to view what used to be visible by a “swipe up”.

Apple NEEDS to re-activate the SWIPE UP MENU on the I watch ! Why remove USEFUL function ! Why push God awful UPDATES ! Turning off all updates !

Are YOU, reading the thread?? We know the function is there BUT the point is, it’s inconvenient, a horrible change and nobody likes it, so change it back to Swipe Up!

Perfect. Thank you. That was a great relief to have that work. Now if I can only figure out how to get rid if all the junk that comes up when you do swipe up. There has to be a way in the watch app to configure that (I hope ).

Why change it? It’s literally the only feature I use on my watch.

The flat oval side button has had 3 functions for years.

I have been using the double tap for Apple Pay for at least 5 years.

And long press to power cycle my Apple Watch every so often.

The single tap was favorites, but has just been repurposed to Control Center.

As Idris suggests, send Apple feedback, so your vote for change will be counted.

I like that Apple changed the swipe up feature. The information is more tailored to my needs and I like the new look. You can still get to the control panel, just have to retrain your brain, and it is good to retrain your brain.

DO NOT hold the flat oval side button, as that is a different action.
