iPhone 15 CarPlay Not Working

I tried those and did not change anything. I’ve tried many cables to where I just gave up. I’ve asked the tech at apple and he says the engineers have given no updates. I think at this point they know it cannot be fixed so they are doing nothing.

Been there done that. Everything that everyone has mentioned in here has been tried. Nothing helps. Reset the entire system, about 10 different cables, delete from the phone and system, and even reset the iPhone itself. Its great some of this stuff works for some but it does not work for everyone. There is at least one guy on the Jeep forums that both his and his wife's devices work fine. This is by no means the norm as most still say theirs do not work. I still believe its a hardware issue that cannot simply be fixed and some are just working while others dont.

I have 2023 Buick and I’ve tried in multiple places because I thought it might need a stronger connection. I just had no luck trying sooooo many ideas. I’ll be really upset if this doesn’t work. I’ve had so many issues with this phone and I’ve only had a few days. I’ve had to reset my password on quite a few sites. It’s like the phone wants its own beginning on each site.

My iPhone 13 CarPlay worked through Bluetooth in my 2022 Infiniti and now just bought an iPhone 15 and they will not pair. The phone will work through the speakers hands free but Apple Carplay will not load. What’s up Apple? We are going backwards here!!

I can not for the life of me get the CarPlay to work. I have done everything I can find on the forums but the CarPlay works perfect on my husbands phone. It’s the exact same phone and using the same cord.

Here’s a curveball: my family all got new iPhone 15s. Have a 2020 Wrangler. My husband can connect to my CarPlay but my daughter and I can’t. All using the same port and the same cable. None of us had issues with our 12’s. Mine sporadically works but disconnects as soon as I open maps. Daughter’s won’t connect to her traverse at all. Why would two phones not work but one does? All on same version, same models, same cords. So frustrated and this could push me to the Samsung world.

Thank you for this tip. Worked perfectly when trying to connect my IPhone 15 to my Ford Expedition. Used the amazon connector and the USB cable delivered with the phone. Followed the sequence you suggested and it all works perfectly.

This may be the end of everything Apple for me. It's been proven that CarPlay is a safer mode of driving than trying to change stuff from your phone while driving. All iPhone users have been forced to do EVERYTHING from their phones and now they disable the one thing to keep us safe while driving. I would go back to my iPhone 12 but it died (probably another Apple plan) and can't be recovered. This absolutely makes this IPhone 15 almost unusable since I drive for a living!!!

I had a 13 Pro Max and upgraded to the 15 Pro Max. I can’t get my Apple CarPlay to work in my 2018 Kia Sportage. It worked great with my iPhone 13 Pro Max.

I’ve tried different cables, and nothing is working.

Tried USB adapter cable to plug Iphone 15 into 2023 Subaru Forester. My previous Iphone and wife’s worked fine.

Can’t find solution to connect Iphone 15 USB-C adapter to USB in car to use Carplay…..can’t work.

Just use your old FireWire cable (usb-A to FireWire) and put this converter from Amazon on the FireWire end. attach iPhone 15 to usb-c on converter and you're back in business...

My new iphone 15 pro max and my toyota rav 4 carplay seem to be having issues. What the heck? At forst the cord i used didnt work so I switched to another cord and its working but then while playing podcasts I encountered issues in which i would press play and it kept stopping on its own????

I've a Peugeot 2008 and the navigation, etc. worked well with the lighting to USB cable when I had an iPhone 12 Pro Max. I've just upgraded the phone to the 15 Pro Max and it no longer works even though I'm using an Apple USB-C to USB cable. The experience upgrading to the 15 has not been a happy one; not only can't I use it properly in my car, the transfer of data from the old to the new phone also transferred over some glitches in the settings (which no-one seems able to find) which mean that the Mail app does not display emails (particularly those pulled in from Gmail) and - even though the ringer and notifications are turned on - there is no announcement/ringing for incoming calls, texts, etc.

Well, that worked for a couple of days but now it doesn’t. All I get is either an iPod fault notification or an instruction to try a different usb cable. I’m using the cable that came with the phone. It’s just crazy that it worked then stopped.
