iPhone 15 - Freezing and Glitching Issue

Hi. I have been experiencing the same issue. I.e. Freezing in the calender app. I have found that when I want to press done on the calender app it just won't let me so I have to force quit and then on the home screen hold down the calendar app until it says "add event"

That is the only way it will work.

Apple Support is not here, we are all just fellow users.

Further, if this were a software issue, it would be much more prevalent but it's not.

Far from being terrible, there are tens of millions of people using iPhone 15s daily with zero issues.

I have iPhone 15 and I’ve experienced my phone pretty much crashing 4 times now the first couple times my screen would be purple and flashing and when I’d try to power it off the bar to slide doesn’t pop up I would just hold the power and volume buttons and slide my finger across the screen anyway and it did power off after a few tries today it was on the Home Screen frozen just flashing and I did the same. I’ve never experienced this with my 12 I’ve had this phone 3 months now and this is my fourth time experiencing this so I decided to see if anyone has had similar issues. I’m a little disappointed.

I’ve had my iPhone 15 pro for 72 hours and I’ve been experiencing the SAME ISSUE. What gets me is that I’m upgrading from my 12 pro max and it was happening there so I was hoping I wouldn’t have this issue anymore. I think it’s an iOS issue because on my pro max this used to not be an issue.

with both devices it would happen only during specific actions. Seldom would it freeze if I’m just send text but if I type a sentence then go to add an emoji or send a photo or a song more often then not it would freeze.

i noticed however that if i continue to type the phone catches up with my taps and if i were to press send the recipient does get my message as normal.

No self-illuminated display can be read in bright sunlight, that'a basic limitation of technology.

Heat is a natural consequence if you have your brightness turned up all the way to try and see the display in bright sunlight.

I am guessing you are not close to an Apple Store. Best bet to get some humane attention.

Sadly, it’s end of December 2023, 17.2.1 update and my phone still freezes regularly when using Apple News, Kindle, AccuWeather, Weather Bug, and some other apps. Shame on you, Apple.

Reviving this discussion as I'm experiencing identical problems on the same phone model. In addition, my apps are routinely crashing. I recently transitioned from Android to iPhone and, so far, I'm not particularly impressed. I'm optimistic that this is merely an iOS 17 issue and can be resolved, especially considering the substantial cost of this device. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be many support articles addressing this matter, hence my contribution to this thread. I suspect others are encountering this issue but may be tolerating it simply because it's an Apple product.

Upgraded from a 12 Pro Max to a 15 Pro Max and phone has been mostly fine since release day but has also mostly been on wifi. Currently on vacation and off wifi and the phone has started to get very warm, possibly over heating. Also, started dealing with everything from the original post plus the phone now occasionally freezes, and the volume and power button does not allow shutdown when this happens. Only option to resolve is the phone recognizes something has gone critically wrong and restarts itself or wait till the phone dies. Hopefully Apple extends their return policy or offers a free upgrade next year because this not acceptable performance given the price point of the device.

Experiencing the same thing. Crashes when I make Instagram reels. Woke up the other day to a black screen that suddenly came on after a few minutes. Also randomly freezes when it’s working too hard and needs a reset.

My new iPhone 15 pro max just froze after having it for two days while I was at Disneyland opening up my camera tried to reset but wouldn’t work till I got home and hooked up to wifi it reset and is working ok for now let’s see if the problem comes back
