iPhone 15 - Freezing and Glitching Issue

Is it just me or is anyone else experiencing similar issues?

i just got my IPhone 15 Pro Max and for whatever reason while i’m using my apps my screen would sometimes freeze momentarily or freeze indefinitely. I also have trouble pressing options/buttons located in the corner of the screen in some apps. For example, when watching a video in full screen i would have to press the “back” “skip” or the “<“ options more than 3-4 times for it to register my touch. Another example would be when browsing through shopping apps i would have to keep pressing the “back” or “<“ option/button, usually located in the corner of the screen multiple times or even have to end/close the applications altogether. Not sure if this is an issue with the actual iPhone screen not registering the touch or an IOS 17 issue.

I bought my 15 Pro Max on 9.22 and when I Updated to iOS 17.0.3 I started having this exact same issue. This has been the worst launch of an iPhone, with the overheating and now this. I just hope is OS related cause I have done every single troubleshooting possible, I usted to work as tech support agent in Google so I think I know my way around all the options, they even exchanged my device in the Apple Store and I’m still having the same issue. I think this is unacceptable for the top of the line and most expensive unit, and for a company as big as apple. PLEASE FIX THIS ASAP

I am facing issue with my iphone 15 pro max, since i updated to iOS 17.0.3 my phone started hanging and just stops responding, i have to force restart it couple of times, i never faced any overheating issue or anything when i got my iphone but since the last update i am facing this issue, is there any solution to it or should i wait for another update for the fix?

It is hardware fault with some of these phones which only solved once the phone was replaced. I tried almost every solution in this thread and recommended by the customer service executives at Apple. The diagnostic repair was conducted but it still didn't work and I was asked to come the next day, but I persisted. In the meanwhile the phone just kept on glitching. It took too many hit and trials to get the backup of it. Right now I'm on replaced phone and seems like the problem completely gone. Only its running a bit hot is experienced but at least it just stays on. So far so good. Hope Apple acknowledges the hardware bug and quality control issue with some of these devices. Thanks all!

Experiencing the exact same issues on my iphone 15. Often the corners dont work. If there is an x in the top right i have to hit it multiple times for the phone to register the touch. just today my phone completely froze and started to get warm. The up down power button did the trick but i hope this is resolved with a software update

Mo_Magic,I have used this apple advised tip for clearing bugs- press ‘fast’ up volume then press ‘fast’ down volume let go quick then ‘fast’ press power button hold this in until you see apple logo appear then let go and wait for ph to prompt you then swipe up then you will be asked to punch in passcode. This has cleared up a lot of little problems. Sometimes more than once I do this. There will always be problems with the systems but this has helped me much. Do you have the iOS 17.0.3 update. That is designed to fix problems along with regular clearing the system might be the ticket for you?? Good luck on this it must be hard to handle spending so much and having this to work out. Try the above and add to your tool box.

Me too. I haven’t sent my iPhone 11 in trade yet. It works perfectly. I may keep that and return the iPhone 15 Pro Max. Regarding the display, the AMLCD screens don’t suffer burned in images like OLED screens do. What does it matter if the colors are better if images burn in? Apple has exacerbated this problem with the option of the always on screen. Apple, please get your act together.

No accusations. I don't have inside info.


Agile Framework is all the rage in the IT world. and relies on short sprints of developments and decisions are influenced by business metrics.


So you can be pretty sure that the APP devs are doing the same thing.


So without pouring over code dumps you cant point the finger solely at Apple.


Also the final factor is the end user. Do they keep all their APPs updated? Do they allow the APPs to phone home with user data on crashes etc.


Bugs if they are caught often are “fixed” in the next release in order to make the delivery date.


The idea is sold on being able to deliver enhancements faster to the end user.


It’s also very hard to do what Apple does in supporting older models way longer than the competitors.


That increases the testing efforts and one of the reasons why this ancient Apple user sticks with them. It’s why you can still trade in your older phones.

Hello! I have upgraded my iPhone 13 to 15 pro max and you can imagine how many problems I’ve been having with my phone.

it get hot constantly, the pictures are extremely dark and the worst pic ever, grey, dark and the person you can even see because is blurry.

the battery only last for 3 or 4 hours and when I put it to charge, I can use it because it get really hot!!

not sure what I have to do…. But I hate this phone… and it cost a lot of money!!!
