Problems with Apple Watch after updating to watchOS 10.0.1

Since updating, I've lost a bundle of functions such as waterproofing, silence, 'where is my phone', wifi on/off, battery charge. I've chatted with Apple who had no answers and the chat after an hour of going in circles dropped out. I am very unhappy with this update, it has complicated my watch and I can't revert.

has anyone else had this problem? I use to be able to click on the watchface, swipe down and there they all were. Now I just get the weather (which I already get on the face, so it's not exactly a great update but an annoying duplication.)

And I can't waterproof my watch anymore.

Any solutions? Anyone?

I'm having MAJOR issues with my Apple Watch Series 4 since updating to 10.0.1.

The worst issue I have is that the battery drains to nothing within a matter of hours. Prior to the update I NEVER HAD BATTERY ISSUES. Since the update to watchOS 10 there are nights where I go to bed with 100% power and I wake up 6-7 hours later with it either totally DEAD or dead enough where it will only show the time when pressing a button. So my sleep doesn't get logged. But sometimes under the exact same circumstances I wake up with it at 40%.

There are mornings when I leave my place and it's at 100%, and within 5 hours it's telling me it's down to 10%. Then there are rare times when it will get me 8-10 hours.

There is NOTHING enabled on my watch anymore due to these problems. I keep it on airplane mode ALWAYS. Every time I put it on the charger I put it into low power mode. I have cellular disabled and WIFI off. The volume is turned all the way down. The screen brightness is turned all the way down. And yet it KEEPS only lasting a few hours ever since this update!!!

The other MAJOR problem I am now having is the watch freezes half the time! It randomly wont respond to me touching the screen or side buttons. Even though it's ALWAYS next to my iPhone 13 Pro Max, I'd say at least 75% of the time I hold down the crown side button for a second so SIRI is listening, I then give it a voice command to remind me of something or whatever, it will show what I said on the screen, and then tell me SOMETHING IS WRONG AND IT DOESNT UNDERSTAND!

I cannot describe how FRUSTRATING all this is!!!

Back when the watch was new it was $800-$900. Plus I am paying $15/month for cellular service on it which I cannot even enable because of the new battery problem.

So am I being forced to buy a new watch now??

Because Apple won't let me downgrade the software back to when everything worked, now I am having to buy a new watch?? I think this is really MESSED UP.

Is anyone else having the same issues with their watch?

After the update my brand new Series 9 would drain from 100% power in less than 4 hours. After 3 phone sessions with Apple support I tried a suggestion I saw on here. I deleted all third party apps on my watch, especially Moby Face. Completely solved the problem. It’s worth a try…

You can probably add your other third-party apps back. It's certainly not all of them causing a problem. MobyFace is a known culprit, of course, and there may be others. Try adding a couple back at a time and seeing what happens.

Hi there since this update my battery life has significantly deteriorated on my series 7 watch but the biggest issue is that it no longer desplays heart rate on any of the factory made watch faces. I have reset the watch, turned on all heart related features, wrist sensing, low power modes off, nada. The strange thing is if you tap on the area the heart rate is meant to be displayed it opens the heart rate monitor and takes a reading but refuses point blank to display it on any of the watch screens. I have edited the faces and moved the position of the heart rate around the face with no luck, its there but not visible which is pretty useless if you want it displayed on screen. I have tried every fix available online and in the forums and nothing will fix it. Come on Apple you are supposed to be making these devices easier and more reliable, at least give us the ability to downgrade to the previous firmware version if the current is broken.

The new update to Apple Watch is horrible. Before I could get my heart rate for all day now only when I check it. Everything is moved and I have only had it updated for a couple of hours and have already come close to making an emergency call several times! Why would you take a good thing and ruin it! You need to make lots of adjustments and do an update! It is very user unfriendly!!

My fitness app stops recording my workout when a phone call ends. Confusing options in fitness app when trying to restart, end or whatever. Access to watch options is now clumsy and also hard to read. Like the fitness options, the buttons are highlighted in faint colors. Try to see a red colored end button in the sunlight, ridiculous. Can I just go back to what I had that worked very, very well. Update is a mess of confusion and dysfunction.

After this update my watch stopped showing real time heart rate which it used to do when I was running a third party app that had a continuous monitoring function and I chose heart rate as the bottom complication for a 3 complication face. Now heart rate seems to be updated randomly, anywhere between 2 and 45 minutes. This was a major reason I used the watch, and support has been useless.

Why?

Apart from having to press the button rather than swiping up.. I can’t swipe left or right for anything, when I used to be able to move between my clock faces..

I now have blocks in the resting mode rather than the date in the complications. My Paces are blocked out until I touch them in complications.

Please tell me what are the benefits from this “upgrade “????

Hey I now have to scroll way more for my activity app where before I could see all my data in one screen - now I have to scroll five times to get my total step count. Is there anyway to change back or to consolidate the data? Seriously have lost a ton of function and will not use the "function" that has been added. In my world scrolling is death and for the life of me I don't get these changes.
