Why is iPhone wallpaper blurry?
My log on screen photo and contact-if-found is blurred. My image and wording shows in the back but can’t be seen or read. My desktop is just a color. How can I unblur it?

If you go into settings, wallpaper, pick the wallpaper you want, hit the customize button, when that screen comes go to the bottom of the screen that comes up and on the very far bottom right is a small blue circle that says blur; just tap it and it will unblur the background. I had that same issue and the blur button is definitely there.
Seems Unacceptable14u got it right in the midst of all the incoherent jibber jabber in this thread.
There are two places where the Wallpaper is applied... 1) Lock screen, and 2) Home screen. The Customize feature to turn off blur on the Home screen seems to works file, but there is no option to turn off blur on the Lock screen, so all Lock screen wallpaper images appear blurred, and there's no way to turn this off. The blurred Lock screen definitely does not match the preview image on the Customize page for the Lock screen.
I'm not sure how this could every be viewed as anything other than a massive oversight by Apple. Please pull your head out of your... the sand and get this fixed sooner than possible while you still have a reputation to salvage.
I think you are enjoying the IOS 17 wallpaper blur new feature, the more you zoom out the more it blurs, is this your case?
Hi go to your focus settings in the settings app. You can fix it in there
I did the pinch and resize it works for some images depending on the background. However resizing will crop out certain things. I've pinched image smaller then screen & released and image Sometimes snaps back to fill screen corner to corner with no ANNOYING BLUR! But that is sometimes! I hope Apple gives us option to blur!!!!!!
Your right. There is no button to turn off the blurry feature when creating a new wallpaper. This has been an issue since iOS 17 became available.
Hey, if you still have a problem with blurred lock screen then you can disable « sleep mode » and locked picture will be unblurred
It sounds like you want to un-blur your iPhone's Home Screen wallpaper.
To unblur it, open Settings -> Wallpaper. You should see two "Customize" buttons, one for the Lock Screen and one for the Home Screen. Tap the "Customize" button on the Home Screen, then toggle off "Blur" in the bottom right.
Finally, hit "Done" in the top right to save your changes.
I have a problem with wallpaper but “blur” button doesn’t fix that. It’s just staying like that. Like the half wallpaper is blur. And I don’t know how to fix that. When the wallpaper is too big, and I want to resize, the half of wallpaper is blur.
It’s very clear in being able to stop the wallpaper blur. Button is there for that. But not on the Home Screen. The zoom out feature if that is the case is really annoying. I just want my Lock Screen to have a clear picture on it. Was easy on previous iOS version
Ever since the last updates. NOW all pictures I use as wallpaper blurs at the top edge! That messes up most of my pictures! How do I get rid of it. Pinch and adjust was fine but this blur the top is annoying! How do I clear it? And if it’s a new apple thinks it’s a cool feature they are wrong!!!!! Give me the option to add that effect if I want. If there’s a way to clear it let me know please!
I’m trying to install a new wallpaper on my iPhone but it keeps blurring how do I turn it off? I can’t find a button to turn it off.
That button is not there

The “unblur” button doesn’t exist
This works fine for the Home Screen but not the Lock Screen. Fix this Apple. It’s a problem. I want the clear picture on my Lock Screen!
