Canon printer won't connect to my MacBook

I've restarted multiple times, uninstalled and reinstalled the driver, nothing will work. My Canon printer image CLASS LBP113w won't connect to my MacBook which is a 2023 M2, OS updated to Sonoma 14

A friend is having exact same issue- it is so strange. The printer doesn't show up at all, and does not allow me to add it.

Just checked the Canon support site for this particular printer and it currently does not show that macOS Sonoma is supported.

Have you had an opportunity to contact their support folks to see if this is something that they are aware of? Apple doesn't develop device drivers and, as I'm sure you are already aware, provide manufacturers with beta releases so that they can get them ready for the macOS public release. Whether or not, Canon has done so is something you can ask them.

I see that this printer has a USB interface, in addition to Wi-Fi support. Have you tried connecting to it by USB to see if your Mac can communicate with it at all?

Also, since this printer supports AirPrint, can you print to it from an iPhone?
