iPhone Pro call sound issue post iOS 16.7 update

mine is doing the same

I have iphone 12 this happened to me about 6 weeks ago then suddenly started working for a while, but then a week ago did the same thing. Apple problem?

Have you found a fix?

My phone is having this same issue but it’s the 12 pro max

iPhone 13 on 17.2.1 just started doing this today

Im having the exact same issue iphone11

I can only hear the person I called if the speaker is on. I have also had problems sending photos. I recently updated to 17.2.1.

I am facing the same issue did you find any solution?

iPhone 12 PRO. Starting Jan 27/24 I can only speak on phone using speaker option. Tried all the fixes and am on most recent IOS. Nothing has worked so far.

This does not work. I still have to have the speaker on I. Order to hear incoming calls properly. What now???

My I phone 12 cannot hear anyone except on speaker phone . I feel the update has caused this and they need to recognize that and fix the problem . This is not a good thing for att.

Update: I took my phone (iPhone 12) to Apple today and spoke to support on the phone. While my model is within the manufacturer dates of the sound issue I am just under 60 days past the “3 year extension” for the warranty for the sound service program. It is the receiver that needs replacing. But it is in the display so the phone needs a complete display replacement. There is nothing they will do unless I pay for it. I am currently not a happy Apple customer.

I believe because of that failed speaker chip they replace entire display , if the 3 years are not over.

Hello~ Well…you can always try taking it in to a shop that may or may not be able or trusted to help you if out of warranty and cost is an issue. How old is your iPhone and what model? Why are you being rude to me about this? I am a fellow forum member like yourself trying my best to help here and I don’t really appreciate it very much to be honest. Things happen with devices and if you have an older device it’s even more likely to happen. Nothing lasts forever.
