Hello, i had the same issue, but i’ve finally found the problem!
The problem was the cable! I was using a USB-C to USB-C of 65W and it just charged my iphone when i plugged on my PC, but when i used my usb-A to usb-C from my Dual Sense it worked normally.
So basically if you have the same issue just try out different cables until it works for you.
The original cable can be used for data transfer. If you plug it into a macbook, it'll be able to recognize your iPhone 15 Pro.
The only thing I've yet to try now is to use another computer to try. If it still doesn't detect then I am very sure its an iPhone issue.

1. Just bought an iPhone 15 Pro and put it to iTune to backup but then totally goes into 'hang' mode.
Put USBC cable to laptop and phone
2. Got the connection tone and then phone connected to iTune
3. iTune hanged at Step 2: Syncing phone
4. Tried using a USB to USB C cable to my laptop and also same problem
5. Re-start both pc and phone, swapped cable etc.... problem still persist
Apple Support, please look into this asap. Thank you.
You're not writing anyone at Apple Support. This is a user to user only forum, which Apple doesn't actively participate. This is however, a known issue and there have been many threads on the topic.
Do let Apple know it's also an issue for you, by providing feedback here --> Feedback - iPhone - Apple
Same issue. On Windows 11 (build 22621) Suface Book 2, iTunes 12.13.1.3 from App Store. Using USB-C cable provided with phone by Apple. PC can see iPhone as a drive, but I can't get iTunes to recognize it. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for the information, but I'm not seeing all those options.
When I got to Settings > Privacy & Security, I don't see a "Security" option there, so there is no way to get to the "Allow accessories to connect" option.
On a brand new iPhone 15 Pro Max.
I tried this way but it's not successful.
ThanhPham288, I am having the same problem. I have tried everything listed to no avail. Getting frustrated.
Im facing the same issue as well. PC unable to detect my iPhone 15. Tried different USB A - USB C cables and different ports on my computer but it didn't work.

My iPhone 15 is not connecting in pc or car by data cable
I found that Apple devices works. And also works better. I had this same issue.
I bought a cord off Amazon and it worked the first time, but hadn't worked since. I used my cord for my Playstation controller and it worked.
Hey EJ_LSA,
I don't see those options in my iPhone 15 IOS 17.5.1 . Please check again for me - I'm having no luck connecting phone to PC either.
