Why is fitness/friends sharing not showing on my watch since update (all friends show 0 activity/steps)?

I reset my wife’s watch and gifted it to my daughter. She has been doing workouts. On the first day it shares, but the following day it stays at zero. When I remove and add I see the current amounts but the following day it always resets and remains at zero. Absolutely annoying. Same with my father in law something about the apple id

We all have Apple Watches (4 of us in the house) and we’re all having issues with our activity sharing. One minute we can see activities with those who we are sharing with the next minute we can’t. We’ve turned off our phones/AW’s, removed and added and what not, but that hasn’t worked. I also lost all my contacts on Walkie Talkie. So annoying!

Correct they haven’t been any help to my FIL who has the same issue.

I did notice my daughter had multiple contacts of herself and her mother, with the name mixed up on some and went through and re did them. Thought that may have fixed it but she had to re request me to see my data this morning so doesn’t appear so.

Cannot see husband’s fitness sharin even after deleting and reinvesting and acceptance. Saw data for that one day and then just dashes we both restarted watches and phones and nothing. He got a new iPhone 15 in January and haven’t seen it seen at least then. I have an iPhone 14.

apple health department cannot figure it out. They ran all kinds of logging info and tests and escalated to the highest point of me needing to give them personal info of people in my contacts. I refused to and it has hit a stalemate. So good luck in finding the answer but I think it has to be hardware issues on some of these 15 pros. Mine stopped workin when I got it.

uodate: this only transferred their info from where they were at at the moment they accepted sharing. It then would not update throughout the day and right back to the way it was. Tried working it out with Apple and they hit a dead end and refused to help me any further unless I gave out my contacts info.

I’m not sure if I understand you. The invitation to share should work both ways. I’ve a friend who sent me an invitation and both are able to see each other’s workout. But is not working with one other friend. Only they can see mine, I cannot see their’s. If either one sends an invitation and is accepted, it doesn’t show another / separate invitation to send. How did you both send separate invitations to each other?

You’re acting as though we having tried that and don’t know about do not disturb. Most do. Changing it has not worked. I’m surprised it worked for you. I share with three people and vice-versa. Only one sees and can see my stuff, the rest are completely zero. The issue is not not getting notifications because of DND, it’s also that when we go into the Fitness application and go to look at the people, it shows completely zero activity. That’s not a DND issue.

You don’t have to be rude guy, I’m just trying to help out. If it doesn’t include you just ignore and not complain……..

By the way, have you reached out to those people to have them check their phones? I bet they have it on. There is a glitch in the software when switching to the 15. Just have them delete it and it will work.

My tone comes from your absolute statements that your suggestion "will work." Please read the comments on this thread: Most of us have tried that, tried everything, including being on with Support and nothing has worked. Several of us have explicitly stated that we checked DND and ensured it was off. That's great that that was the issue for you, I really am glad that it's now working for you. But that's not the issue for most of us, we've checked, and said we've checked.

I am have been having this same issue off and on all year. Currently, I cannot see anyone in Sharing on the Apple Fitness App. I have the latest software for both my phone and watch. It's been extremely annoying.

None of this worked. Haven't gotten any notifications, have tried all the advice, nothing is working since the update.

Same issue here. We've both updated watches and phones. I can see her fitness data, but she can't see mine. I can see mine on my phone, but it's not sharing the info with her.
