SG*OriginalPlus subscription charge? - Apple Pay Wallet

I think we all want the bank to put a block in the money going out when we know it’s a scam Jeff

I was so upset I could see it pending but the bank would not stop it going out

I have had to wait for it to be taken out before they escalate to their fraud dept

I don’t have anyway to get onto the actual subscription site to cancel it and my belief is that’s how they want it as they have now attempted on two consecutive days to take money out the first £29.99 todays £22.49. I believe they are reducing the amount to see how much they can get. Just call bank straight away

This happened to my wife when she used a car park pay meter, she was charged 50p which was refunded then they tried to take £29.99 yesterday then today they tried to take £22.49 why the price drop I cannot say but I called my bank and instructed them to block this company

Well as SG Original Plus has made two attempts on convective days starting at £29.99 then £22.49 ( why the £7.50 drop in one day if they are not dropping the amount bit by bit to see what they can take out) on my wife’s Apple wallet and the Apple wallet contains no such subscription in it then how do you suggest it’s being done to so many of us??

I think they are taking 50p then quickly refunding it in a different company name then they have all your details to sign you up to the streaming service. I was trying to buy a ticket for an event near me and pay by Apple Pay popped up. It only took 50p then paid it straight back.

It seems to be a range of things from car parking at payment machines to event tickets and all things in between. A very difficult scam to avoid when it seems to offer what you are looking for , before changing you £29.99 for a month’s subscription to something you can’t even work out what it is.

i had to download a parking app last weekend at a London tube station, I paid with Apple pay

this weekend, I get scammed £29.99 by sg*origionalplus

I phoned first direct bank ( hsbc) and they are aware it’s a scam, now my old card is terminated and new one in the post tonite, loads of hassle to set up new account payments etc, first direct were spot on as usual.

even told me how it works

message to all, don’t download apps using QR scan links, it’s the new scammers favourite work around.

after paying the car park on the above app, I needed to pay for the ULEZ, London clean air charge

i googled how to pay, and was taken to a site , scam site operated SG*origionalplus

but, I did not enter any details , and did not pay or offer to pay , and closed the page immediately once I realised it was not a uk site. And closed the page.

how did they manage to get my details and charge my account is a mystery to me

it was not as a result of an app from the App Store, sorry for earlier error.

Hi! I’m in Switzerland and it happened exactly the same for me from this Cie. Never buy anything to it, same amount! I refused the payment, cancelled my VISA. My bank told me that it has been made from my phone so they can’t refuse the payement!!! For security, I’ m going to delete my card from Apple pay and wallet😡

What contact details did you have for SG*OriginalPlus to cancel the subscription and request a refund .. I can find no email from them or any contact details to dispute my charge and request a refund .. Thank You

I have just had my account debited £29.99 and I have received no information from this company and never heard of them before. My bank says it is a subscription but can do nothing about it. I saw the company is dissolved on companies register. I have no info on how to contact them. Could someone share their contact details with me so I can deal with them direct?

Yes.. the website is originalplus.co….( a film streaming site)……..you have to enter your email address to sign in….( have no idea where they originally got my email from)……. Then to your ‘profile’…then to ‘manage account’…… where you can then cancel your subscription. Had to try several attempts but got there in the end. See my screenshot above.

i am assuming and hoping I am now genuinely unsubscribed…. Not sure now if you’re saying company is dissolved?!

after reading previous threads there is some connection in my case as it happened with ‘Vinted’ and ‘Apple Pay’

This happened to me too. What is it while you are completing some signing on an app it pops up and you think you are signing up for the app but actually you end up signing up for the one plus max. It's a scam as it pops up as an advertising while you are downloading something or completing an app online. Go on to their home page and cancel it. Also report to trading standards as many people like myself fell for it when we really don't have any intention to sign up for movie/entertainment.

How did you get your money back? I was also making payment for parking and it took my information for this site. I've been billed £29.99 and it's taken out of my account. I have emailed asking for refund but not sure what will happen?
