SG*OriginalPlus subscription charge? - Apple Pay Wallet

I received an emailed receipt for £29.99 from SG Original Plus for a subscription i never ordered. my current account was debited £29.99. the transaction appears in my apple pay wallet but I have no idea how it happened. Does anyone have any suggestions? Somehow, this company had my email address, and the receipt they sent me by email specified that I had purchased a subscription for one month - with a start and end date. I have no idea where this all came from. I didn't seek out this company - I have no interest or knowledge in or of them, and I never gave any personal details to them at all - or purchase instructions. However, according to the payment history in my Apple Wallet, I payed £29.99 to them at 12.59 on 5th Oct but I wasn't even using my phone at this time. What is going on?

hi, I am the original poster on this thread. Your experience maps mine (same company name etc). In fact, what I hadn’t realised was that I had received an email a week earlier confirming my free trial subscription for a week, so when I got charged £29.99 it was the start of the paid subscription. I emailed SG original and received a detailed reply insisting that I could only have been charged any money if I had supplied all the information myself. In other words- it’s all my fault. But I have no knowledge or memory of doing such a thing and have never sought their services ever. I will put their reply on this thread

The same thing has happened to me, They have tried 4 times to take payment, I’ve been researching it’s something to do with downloading a parking app. Possibly Ring go parking app, this made sense to me as I had a hospital appt a few weeks ago and had to download, or tried to download the parking app, instead I managed to download some steaming app, deleted straight away but since then I have had 4 payments declined, I have tried emailing them at support@sgoriginalplus.com but no reply.

Contact your bank immediately and report the fraud!

By doing this I then funnily enough received an email from informing me that my ‘subscription had been cancelled’

If in UK

You will also need to report this matter to Trading Standards via 08082231133 for England or via

https://www.tradingstandards.uk

You should also report via Action Fraud via

https://www.actionfraud.police.uk/

I wonder how many people are not noticing this amount of money coming out each month!

They are committing Mass Fraud

I have blocked my credit card with my bank and at the same time complained about the withdrawal of €29,99 and requested a refund. Haven’t received the money yet.

There are 1000 people affected, perhaps more and I don’t understand how they got access to my credit card. Maybe when they asked to be able to refund 50 cents a week earlier Oct 19.

Yes the simple and innocent request to take 50cents and then return that 50cents .. is just a simple way for them to get your bank details and then to ensure that the accounts are correct and then that’s when the fraud element comes where they then take the money they want from you .. all seem legitimate, but it’s a pure scam

The same happened to me, they took £0.50 from my account and then reversed it on 25th October, and on 1st November the took £29.99. I was furious because there is no way of communicating with these people. So I called my bank and and they said they couldn’t reverse that transaction but they could stop future attempted transactions.

Had exactly same experience and my bank will not refund me. Have deleted card and deleted Apple Pay as I can’t see how an apple subsidiary company could have accessed my wallet without my consent without access via Apple Pay to my bank card details? This is clearly fraud which Apple should deal with urgently. I suspect corrupt employee at SG looking to boost subscription figures.

I was subject to this same scam/fraud. Money taken from account on 28 October. Then 8 November I received an email from the company sayin Zi had subscribed to this entertainment pass.

I have had the money returned by bank Though I was dissatisfied with the assistance from the bank’s (NatWest) fraud people who said that there was nothing they could do because the payment had been made via Apple Wallet!

I have reported company to Metropolitan Police fraud

Do Apple read this site? Given this has affected so many of their users you would think they would look into the matter

I have spoken to apple call-centre- script-readers twice now, and on both occasions they expressed absolutely NO INTEREST WHATSOEVER. The second time, when I was in a position to tell them how many complainants there are in this thread, they politely referred me to an apple feedback site. I have of course had nothing in response to the feedback I subsequently gave on this site. Yes, SG*OriginalPlus are the main culprits, but if Apple is doing nothing to stop the fraud - which clearly it isn't because so many people are continuing to be affected - then how can they not be culpable of aiding and abetting SG?

This is yet another example of corporate giants treating their customers with contempt.

I still have a small amount of hope that the "Action Fraud" reporting service run by the police (??) will get involved. But to be honest it's fast fading.

I am getting Charged £24.99 for no reason from Sg Originals on my bank and if don’t know why can Somone help me out please.

Please read the thread you replied to. It explains what you need to do.

You need to cancel the subscription directly with SG Originals Website or contact your bank to block the charge.

Apple has nothing to do with this.
