That's not the point. People aren't complaining about the phone unlocking their watch. It's about the annoying banner that appears to notify that the phone has unlocked the watch. It's ridiculous that there's no way to turn the notification off. Do you have any useful information to share?

Hey erock1971,

If you'd like, you can disable the feature on your Apple Watch that locks it automatically. This would require you to manually lock your Apple Watch but should prevent the notification from appearing in the Dynamic Island on your iPhone.

Here's how to do that:

Lock manually
Note: To manually lock your Apple Watch, you must turn off wrist detection. (Open the Settings app  on your Apple Watch, tap Passcode, then turn off Wrist Detection.)
1. Press the side button to open Control Center.
2. Tap the Lock button. You must enter your passcode the next time you try to use your Apple Watch.

That info can also be found here: Lock or unlock Apple Watch - Apple Support

We hope this does the trick for you!

Cheers.

Each device unlocking is controlled separately. Please follow this path,

iPhone > Settings > Face ID & Passcode > Unlock With Apple Watch > disable (non-green)

Please note the disclaimer under the switch,

>>Use the secure connection to your Apple Watch to unlock your iPhone for Siri requests or when an obstruction prevents Face ID from recognizing your face. To unlock with Apple Watch, your watch must be passcode protected, unlocked, and on your wrist close by.<<
