Troubleshooting iPhone Mail:

A. New App Password:

Note that you would need a new App Password, being that Mail is a third party app. You cannot log in using your eMail address password. As an example, go here for gmail: Sign in Using App Passwords - Gmail Help - Google Support

B. Remove/Add the Account:

If a new App Password does not work then try removing the account, and then adding it back.

Adding to gmail App:

There is an issue connecting to Apple's servers. So, try doing this using Cellular (if enough data remains). Also, restart your Router --you'd power it off fo 30 seconds, and then power it back on. Also, force restart your iPhone, and try this once more.
